Delete your Deep Sesh account
Last updated
This page explains how to delete your Deep Sesh account and what happens to your data when you do. The Deep Sesh apps for iOS and Android and deepsesh.io share one account, so deleting it removes it everywhere.
Delete your account in the app
- Open the Deep Sesh app and sign in to the account you want to delete.
- On the home screen, tap Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Type the email address on your account to confirm.
- Tap Email me a confirmation code, enter the 6-digit code we email you, and tap Verify code.
- Tap Delete my account.
Your account is deleted as soon as you tap Delete my account. This can’t be undone.
Delete your account without the app
If you can’t use the app, or you only use deepsesh.io, email support@deepsesh.io from the email address you use for Deep Sesh and ask us to delete your account.
To make sure the request comes from you, we reply to that address and wait for your confirmation before we delete anything.
We complete the deletion within 30 days of your confirmation, and it removes the same data as deleting your account in the app.
Cancel store subscriptions first
Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription you bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google keeps billing it until you cancel it in your device’s subscription settings, so cancel it there before you delete your account.
If you subscribed to Pro on deepsesh.io, your subscription is billed through Stripe and is cancelled immediately as part of the deletion. There is no automatic refund for the rest of the billing period.
What we delete
- Your account and sign-in details: your email address and any linked Google or Apple sign-in.
- Your study data: focus sessions, flashcards, grades, classes, planner tasks and events, custom music tracks and custom themes.
- Files you uploaded: scanned PDFs and page images, and custom background images.
- Your Pro subscription status.
- Your customer record at RevenueCat, the service that links App Store and Google Play purchases to your account.
- If you signed in with Apple in the Deep Sesh app, the stored Apple token, after we ask Apple to revoke Deep Sesh’s access to your Apple ID.
What we keep
- Billing event records. We keep one record for each payment or subscription event Stripe or RevenueCat sends us, as a record of payments and subscription changes, with no set deletion date. Deleting your account removes their link to your account, but each record still contains what the payment provider sent with it. For web purchases that can include your billing email address, name and country; it can also include your former account ID and payment or store transaction IDs.
- Records held by payment providers. Stripe, Apple and Google keep their own records of your payments under their own policies. If you ever opened checkout on deepsesh.io, Stripe also keeps the customer record we created for you there, with your email address and account ID.
- Operational logs at our hosting and email providers (Vercel, Supabase and Resend) can contain your email address, account ID or IP address. They are removed on those providers’ schedules.
- Data saved only in your browser for use without an account stays on your device. You can clear it in your browser’s settings.
